Converse Blockparty report
Today legendary Converse Blockparty came to Antwerp, and it was even so much cooler than I expected it to be. Very nice dressed hipsters from all over Belgium and around gathered here for an afternoon of awesomeness.
When entering we had to pass a ramp overcrowded with skateboarders, going trough a basketball playing crowd, to end up at the place where I belonged: the dj-booth, with beats and rhymes taken care of by local hip-hop crews.
I hadn’t checked out to the new concept store ‘The Public Image’ in Antwerp yet, now I have on this perfect afternoon-party, and I liked them t-shirts very much.
SONAR is STYLE
Sonar is niet alleen leuk voor de muziek, het is ook een feest voor de ogen. Trendsetters vanuit heel de wereld komen hier samen.
Sonar 2011
Al 3 jaar heb ik een verslaving aan Sonar muziekfestival in Barcelona. En alsof het festival alleen nog niet genoeg is, zijn er ook enorm veel feestjes in hotels, op het stranden, op boten, … Allemaal om Sonar te vieren. De sfeer waarin je ondergedompeld wordt is fantastisch, alles mag en alles kan, en iedereen ziet er eigenaardig goed uit. Dit in combinatie met de stad Barcelona = perfect world.
De groepen die mijn hart sneller deden slaan waren Atmosphere(right on rapteksten), San Soda (Belgisch talent in stijlen mixen),Paul Kalkbrenner (FEEST), Gaslamp Killer (danser of dj?), Die Antwoord (machtige ninja’s).
